Power Grid Announces Recruitment of Engineers/Officers Through GATE 2015

Position: Executive Trainees in Electrical discipline, Computer Science/Information Technology and Civil Engineering (20^th Batch)

Selection process: on the basis of the normalized scores(out of 100) in the EE paper, CS paper and CE paper of GATE 2015, followed by group discussion and personal interview for shortlisted candidates
Note: The GD will not have any marks but the Interview will have marks awarded to each category as per the company guidelines.

Important: Candidates will be required to furnish their GATE-2015 Admit card and Original GATE-2015 Score card for verification at the time of GD/ Interview / Joining.

Weightage details for the Selection Process:

GATE - 2015 Marks (out of 100) in corresponding Paper	85%

Eligibility:

For Executive Trainees in Electrical Engineering:
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized University/Institute in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering with minimum 65% or equivalent CGPA
AMIE in Electrical with minimum 65% with both Sections A & B cleared by March 31, 2015
Candidates must appear for GATE 2015 in EE

For Executive Trainees in Computer Science Engineering:
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized University/Institute inComputer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology  with minimum 65% or equivalent CGPA
AMIE in Computer Science with minimum 65% with both Sections A & B cleared by March 31, 2015
Candidates must appear for GATE 2015 in CS

For Executive Trainees in Civil Engineering:
Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized University/Institute in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% or equivalent CGPA
AMIE in Civil with minimum 65% with both Sections A & B cleared by March 31, 2015
Candidates must appear for GATE 2015 in CE

Note:

• Final Year / Semester students of Sl. No. 1 above who expect their results by August 14, 2015 are also eligible, provided they have obtained minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to pre-final examination.
• Candidates must have scored more than or equal to the qualifying marks for their respective Papers in GATE 2015 (Marks will be out of 100)
• Note:  Reservation/ Relaxation/ Concession to OBC (NCL)/ SC/ ST/ PwD/ Ex-SM/ J&K Domicile / Victims of 1984 Riots category candidates shall be as per Government of India directives
• Candidates belonging to the reserved categories must have obtained pass marks in their respective disciplines. Age Criteria is also relaxed as per govt norms.

Age Limit: not more than 28 years as on December 31, 2014 (relaxation as per rules).

Details of Training: Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at POWERGRID sites and its training institutes. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Executive.

Salary Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50500 during the one-year training period. On confirmation, the compensation package includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites and Allowance as per cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, etc
Total CTC during training will be 7.78 lakhs and after training will be 13.95 lakhs

Service Agreement Bond: The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond for Rs 1,00,000 (Rs 50,000 for SC/ST/Pwd candidates) to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years.

• After submitting the application, candidates have to note the unique POWERGRID Registration Number.
• The log in ID will be the primary Email registered by the candidate in the POWERGRID Application and the unique POWERGRID Registration Number will be the password.
• A confirmation Email will be sent to the candidates upon successful registration
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled in Application form for future reference after affixing a recent photograph and putting a signature at the designated place.

• GATE 2015 Admit Card
• GATE 2015 Score Card
• Valid Photo Identity in Original

Note: Candidates working in Govt or PSUs must bring a No Objection Certificate also.
