Typically requires BS/CS or equivalent plus 0-2 years related technical experience. MS a plus.Knowledgeable in one or more of: IP Internetworking, IBM internetworking, LAN switching, ATM, WAN Expertise Voice technologies. Internetworking Troubleshooting experience, protocol diagnosis and decoding to the packet level.Ability to leverage technical expertise of others. Knowledge of network design concepts. Knowledge of network management, network availability capacity planning.
Knowledge of software development and design concepts is desirable.

Essential Job Functions/Duties (may include other duties as assigned)
Scheduling server builds [Net new and Upgrades] for all applications in RHO space
Maintain agreed SLA’s for downstream teams. [like hardware , SAN , SQL , Provisioning]
Monitor Service Desk Queue for requests and make sure all details are updated correctly by requestor’s
Monitor Provisioning Calendar for Forecast and ensure delivery of servers before requested completion date
Handle events like Net New installs and upgrades of Cerner developed solutions hosted on client’s environment. Also includes Hardware Migration, Upgrades, Hotfix applies on client environments PROD/TEST/TRAIN.
Working on Environment Health Check, Preparation events and planning call with clients.
Maintaining application delivery infrastructure in a highly process oriented environment by applying Patches and Upgrades for Cerner solutions as and when required by client.
Work closely on servers running Windows 2008/2012 with good understanding of hardware and memory, CPU usage.
Work with IBM WebSphere, PowerShell, Failover Clustering and Windows Server features.
Create databases & backup management on SQL 2008/2012.
Work with Process Automation/Orchestration tools to deploy applications remotely.
Establishes trusted relationships with all levels and service lines/department inside the client organization(s) and within Cerner project team.
Takes appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of role
Performs additional responsibilities as needed.

Work Experience/Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.
0 to 2 years Windows server administration experience.
0 to 2 years Project Management.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Works under general office environmental conditions.
Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
Flexible with shifts and must be ready to connect from home for any business emergency.
24/7 On-call support when required.

Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Windows Server and Good knowledge with
Active Directory.
Domain controllers.
Clustering concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and presentation skills.
