NHPC Announces Recruitment of Engineers/Officers Through GATE 2015

Positions: Trainee Engineers in Electrical Disciplines

Eligibility:

• Candidates must have passed a full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Technology or B.Sc (Engineering) or AMIE (enrolled before May 31, 2013)
• They must have secured a minimum of 60% or equivalent in the the qualifying exam.( SC/ST candidates must have 40%)
• The Electrical discipline includes any of the following: Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Power Systems & High Voltage/ Power Engineering
• They must have appeared for the GATE 2015 exam for Electrical Engineering – GATE 2015 Exam Code EE

Age Limit: Candidates must not be more than 30 years as on April 1, 2015

Selection Procedure: on the basis of the GATE 2015 Scores followed by a personal Interview

Salary Scale: Candidates will be in the E-2 cadre with a scale of Rs 20600-3%-46500 (IDA)

Bond: Candidates must undertake to give a bond for Rs 2.50 lakhs (Rs 1.25 lakhs for SC/ST candidates) to work for NHPC for a period of 4 years inclusive of the training period.

Before Applying, keep the following documents ready to be uploaded while filling the NHPC Online Application Form:

The following documents must be in PDF format and file size must be between 100KB to 200KB in size and must be readable

• Class X or Matric Certificate as proof for Date of Birth
• Marks Sheet pertaining to degree (all semesters in a set)
• Category Certificate in the prescribed format and attested by the competent authority (for OBC- the certificate must be within 6 months of the NHPC Application)
• Disability Certificate by competent authority in case of PH candidates
• Certificate by head of institution attesting that the applicant has passed the course on full time/ regular basis (except AMIE) certified by the University/Institution from where they have passed the degree course.
• Certificate of conversion of grades to CGPA as followed by the institution/University attested from the Head of institution where the candidate has passed his/her degree
• Copy of the GATE 2015 Registration Slip

Signature and Photograph:

• A recent passport size photograph file in jpg format only. File size should be less than 23KB
• Scanned image of signature of candidate in jpg format only. File size should be less than 15KB

How to Apply:

• Fill the Online Application for NHPC given below
• Candidates have to upload the Photograph and signature as well as the documents specified above as asked in the online Application Form.
• Candidates must enter their GATE 2015 Registration No.
• They have to enter their personal details, details of their academic qualifications, work experience if any and their address for communication.
• Note: There is no fee in the online Application Form even if there is a provision for the same- The section has been disabled.
• Candidates must upload the certificates in the space given for the purpose. The same rule applies to the photograph and signature.
• Candidates must save and keep a copy of theRegistration Slip/ Form generated after submission of the Online NHPC Application Form for future reference.

Important Dates:

• GATE 2015 Online Applications: September 1 to October 14, 2014
• NHPC Online Applications start from January 1, 2015
• Last date for NHPC Applications: January 31, 2015
